Mumbai next goal after Bodh Gaya, tweets Indian Mujahideen
A Maharashtra ATS official said the initial assessment implies that the account will not appear actual but the investigators will not be taking the issue lightly.
"All the officers of the ATS have already been instructed to be alert and city authorities has been requested to ensure tight security," the official said.
Hours after Sunday's Bodh Gaya serial blasts, a tweet by @IndianMujahidin - which claims to be the IM's official Twitter accounts - said: "9 Dhamake Humne Karay (We carried out the nine blasts)".
The tweet about Mumbai -dated July 5, two days before the Bihar blasts - reads, "Hamara Agla Target Mumbai Hai. Rock Sago Toh Rock Lo, 7 days Left (Our next goal is Mumbai. If you can prevent us,. Seven days left)."
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also probing the credibility of the report.
Its employees have been sensitized by Mumbai police and stiffened the security.

"We appeal to the citizens to be alert and educate the cops in case they locate any questionable object," Date told PTI.
Nakabandis were being ran and patrolling had been intensified at strategic locations, authorities said, adding that frisking at the suburban railway stations was being done and dog squads were put on service.
"Vehicles are being stopped randomly for checking," said a police official.
Any suspicious item was discovered by statements made to report to authorities in case passengers and railway compartments were being assessed, a railway cop said.
